So many recipes claim to be healthy, but a quick glance at the ingredients reveals white sugar, white flour, and foods that are fried. Not here!
Quick healthy recipes are:
Stone-ground whole wheat flour or other whole grain flours, instead of white flour.
Stevia, xylitol, dates or other healthier sugar alternatives, instead of white sugar.
First cold pressed oils or extra virgin olive oil, instead of refined oils, margarine, lard.
Whole, healthy, fresh ingredients, instead of refined, processed ingredients.
Soy milk, rice milk, etc, instead of milk.
Wholesome, natural foods, free of chemicals and colors, instead of things like butter-flavored cooking spray.

For years I have been making
healthy desserts
and modifying dessert recipes to transform them into healthy treats. It's been over 20 years since I ate white sugar, anything containing white sugar or any other type of unhealthy sweetener, such as high Fructose corn syrup. It is not difficult to eliminate sugar from your diet, you can too. As you reduce sugar from your diet, you will no longer experience the sugar highs and lows and your energy will increase.
Here, you will find delicious cakes sweetened only with dates, low fat desserts, puddings, power bars and more.
Once you start experimenting, you will first be able to reduce sugar in your own recipes and use natural sweeteners like stevia, and eventually replace the sugar completely with healthier alternatives.

This wholesome grain (or actually seed) contains an almost perfect balance of all of the 8 essential amino acids, so it is high in protein.
Very versatile, it can be used hot, to replace rice or potatoes, or added to soups. It can be used cold in salads or made into puddings. I always keep some cooked quinoa in the fridge.
